From your clothes to outfit ideas

  1. Check your actual itinerary

Look at the forecast for each day and list what you will do: travel, walking, dinner or a specific activity. Add suitable outerwear, activewear or a dressier look when your plans need them.

  2. Save outfits before you pack

Add your chosen pieces to Pureple and combine them manually. Save each look so you can check it again while packing or getting dressed. Wardrobe items and manual outfit creation are free, with no quantity limits.

  3. Reuse pieces across outfits

Lay out your saved combinations and count each shared item once. Separate what you will wear on the journey from what goes in your bag. Try the looks on before leaving and replace anything that does not work.

Weekend packing checklist

Use this as a starting point and adapt quantities to your needs. Keep your own final checklist alongside the saved outfits.

  • Clothes from the outfit plan that you are not wearing on the journey
  • Clean underwear and socks for each day, plus any spare you want
  • Sleepwear and an extra clean top if you prefer not to rewear one
  • Rainwear, sun protection or a warmer layer for the forecast
  • Activity-specific clothing, swimwear or dressier shoes when needed
  • Toiletries and personal essentials you normally travel with
  • Phone, charger, travel documents and any required medication

What goes in the bag in this example?

If you travel in the brown top, jeans, cardigan and sneakers and carry the everyday bag, the white T-shirt and black trousers are the remaining pieces from the seven-piece outfit plan. Pack those plus your checklist extras. Use the checklist to complete your packing list for this trip.

Make a small capsule first

If choosing pieces feels difficult, start with a small capsule wardrobe and test which tops, bottoms and layers work together. Reusing a few reliable combinations can make the packing decision easier.

How many outfits do I need for a weekend away?

Count the occasions on your itinerary rather than packing a completely separate set of clothes for each one. This casual three-day example uses five combinations from seven shared pieces. Add clothing for weather, dress codes, laundry needs and activities that the example does not cover.

Can I plan these outfits in Pureple for free?

Yes. Adding wardrobe items and creating and saving manual outfits are free, with no quantity limits. AI styling is a separate paid feature. You can use saved outfits and this checklist without AI styling.
